Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
This site is a personal thought-leadership blog operated by Matthew Kruczek. It is designed to be read, cited, and shared. This policy explains what limited data is collected and how it is handled.
What is collected
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how visitors arrive. Analytics storage is set to denied by default through Google Consent Mode. No analytics cookies are set unless you click Accept on the cookie banner.
When consent is granted, Google Analytics may collect aggregated, pseudonymised data such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and referring source. IP addresses are anonymised by Google. No advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking is performed.
What is not collected
- No advertising trackers or remarketing pixels.
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.
- No account system, so no passwords or profiles are stored.
- No contact forms — outreach happens via the email and social links provided.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — consent-gated traffic measurement. See Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — typography is served from Google's font CDN, which may receive your IP address as part of the request.
- Netlify — hosting provider; standard server logs may be retained for security and reliability.
Your choices and rights
You can decline analytics at any time using the banner, or by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, which this site honours as an opt-out. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data. Contact [email protected] for any privacy request.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
